On Tuesday Cézanne went to Gustave Geffroy who informed him of Monet's return to Giverny: "[...] I will be happy to go and shake your hand in the first days of next week, if there is no indiscretion. [...] ».
The letter is enclosed in a small autograph shirt titled by Claude Monet: "Letters from Paul Cézanne".
