Dark brown Jansenist moroccoquin, lined with blond box. Smooth spine, title in large horizontal and vertical gilt letters, fillets on the cups, vellum endpapers, gilt edges, supple folder with identical flaps and case (Pierre-Lucien Martin).
Original edition illustrated with 39 woodcuts by Raoul Dufy. One of the 29 copies on Japon impérial (n°4) signed by
Guillaume Apollinaire and Raoul Dufy to which was attached the Supplément au Bestiaire (Paris, Gauthier-Villars, 1931) signed by
Raoul Dufy, including two large woodcuts (Le Condor and Le Morpion), accompanying two poems by Apollinaire which had been refused. It also includes two thumbnails, one of the title and one of the finished print.
