The Forest in the Axe, autograph manuscript signed.
S.d. [circa 1930], 1 page in-4 in ink on the back of the letterhead of the magazine La Révolution Surréaliste.
Superb text of great poetry with automatic writing in ink by André Breton with some erasures and corrections. It will be published in 1932 in Le Revolver à cheveux blancs. "One has just died but I am alive and yet I have no soul; I have only a transparent body inside which transparent doves are stabbed [...] There is only one man out of a hundred, out of a thousand; there is only one woman out of the absence of thought that characterizes in black for this cursed era. This woman holds a bunch of immortals in the form of my blood".
