This brooch model was often made, at the end of the 19th century, by Russian goldsmiths and in particular by the Fabergé House, decorated with precious or semi-precious stones.
The hallmark of our brooch could be the Cyrillic mark of Philip Theodore RINGE (1824-1894), following the example of Julius RAPPOPORT (1864-1916), another Fabergé workshop manager, who had his hallmark in Latin and Cyrillic script.
