(dedication), 4 ff.n.ch. and 112 pp.: fawn morocco, dishes entirely covered with a repetitive gilt decoration with small irons or casters, smooth spine decorated lengthwise, thin inner wheel, gilt edges (17th century binding). Thoughts" known by this unique copy. Fervent devotional treatise of the 17th century: "My God & my Saviour: grant my conversion to my instant prayers for the glory of your grace [...]. ...] Please make me worthy to be one of your acquisitions, so that being possessed by you during the whole course of this life, you may possess me after my death in the eternity of your glory. This is my hope and all my hopefulness." The book is decorated with a title-frontispiece engraved on copper by Jaspar Isaac. The dedication, addressed to the bishop of Viviez (near Rodez), is signed De Monmunier. A curious 17th century binding, the dishes are entirely covered with an abundant and gilded decoration obtained by the repetition of an iron or more likely a large roulette wheel. Handwritten bookplates of the XVIIth century on the lower counterplate: Gabrielle du Boys. Skillfully restored at the binding. Some stained and scrolled leaves.
