Under the influence of Bart Van der Leck and Vilmos Huszar, Wobbe Alkema (1900-1984) came closer to the De Stijl movement. He then adopts a stylized figuration. He became friends with the Belgian constructivists and worked for the magazines Het Overzicht and De Driehoek, among others.
