Ernest RANCOULET ( 1870-1915) Progrès Industriel Composite metal statuette, medal patina, represents two young women: one holding a horn of plenty and a book on which one can read "Science enlightens the world", the other holding a torch (absent). They stand on a pedestal decorated with a racing car and a runabout at sea. A cartouche on the base bears the title of the work and the name of its author, circa 1900. H with base, 62 cm.
