Table service, Venice, Belgium, 1st half of the 20th century. Tablecloth in linen canvas with fine small days and wide Venetian needlepoint lace surrounds decorated with large foliage and floral scrolls, large scrolled cartouches, with damsels and gentlemen on the sides, minstrels and genteel ladies with spandrels. Eight towels with small days and surrounds of the same lace, one of which has a slightly different day. Unbleached cotton. Dim. tablecloth 2,65 m x 1,70 m (new condition, yellowing at the corners, some storage stains) We join a round centerpiece with floral decoration in Venice to the needle Diam. 97 cm (good condition) Provenance: Back of the Joseph Lauwereys manufacture in Aalst.
