Three-branch brass guard, known as "à la Chasseur", decorated with laurel leaves, shuttle mumps decorated with a palmette rosette, quillon in stock, oval pommel with lion's head. Long tail decorated with palmettes, foliage and laurel leaves.
Horn fuse with double brass filigree.
Blade with two wide grooves, marked, two edged and round back, signed Creuzé, Proa & Cie. [1835-1851].
Iron scabbard with a bracelet, with insignia of the 3rd GAM.
Pompon strap in gold cannetilla.
Blade length: 80.5 cm. - Total length: 96 cm.
Cast iron and shock to the hilt. Some wear and tear and oxidation. Small shocks to the scabbard.
