Exceptional porcelain vase of Sèvres awarded to the winners of the gold medal. Work of Master O. Guillonnet and Emile Bracquemond, it is 33 cm high and was made by the national manufactory of Sèvres. The decor is intended to glorify sports. On the pass, a flight of aeroplanes to connect nations, on the belly four round cartels in which naked figures, to claim the ancient origin of these Olympic Games evoke diving, football, rowing and rugby. Each cartel presents the white paste characters, brought back in semi-relief on a grey background in a round frame made of a garland of laurel tied with ribbons. The bottom of the vase is blue with rising gold laurels. There are four different models for a total of 309 copies. (Restoration traces). Museum piece.
