On May 15 in Vienna, national guards, students and workers filed a Sturmpetition.] "Sturmpetition an Maria die Menschenbeglückerin" (Mary who makes people happy), MARY of Bavaria, Queen of SAXE (1805-1877). The free and intelligent people of Innsbruck beg Mary for eternal benevolence ("der Immergütigen Errungenschaften"), so that the great Queen ("die grosse Königin") sends Duke George of Saxony and Duke Louis of Bavaria to a family congress ("Familian- Kongress") in Possenhofen, where the undersigned will find themselves all; the undersigned rely on the well known leniency of their gracious Sovereign... In addition to "Sissi", the following have signed: the Archdukes of Austria Ferdinand Maximilian (future Emperor of Mexico), Carl Ludwig, and Ludwig Victor; Gackel (Carl Theodore of Bavaria, Sissi's brother); Louise, Lonsa, and Orso (with sketches of a cat).
