To her friend and collaborator Ruth BERLAU (1906-1974, Danish actress and writer; she was Brecht's assistant, and her mistress). He received his express letter too late, but still telegraphed. He's glad she's coming. He can't say anything about the tour; Helli[his wife Helene WEIGEL] is still in Vienna. But they certainly won't be able to do so until early June. She calls him as soon as he arrives, there are always many people with him... "Liebe, den eilbrief kriegte ich zu spät, telegraphierte aber doch noch. - ich freue mich, dass du kommst! - über die tournee kann ich nichts sagen und Helli ist noch in Wien. Aber wir könnten bestimmt nicht vor Anfang Juni! - ruf mich gleich an, wenn du kommst [...] hier sitzen immer eine menge leute herum"...
