Les astronautes pionners de la conquête spatiale américaine Thomas Stafford et Walter Shirra s'extraient de la capsule de Gémini assistés d'hommes grenouilles venant d'être parachutés d'hélicoptère en plein océan Pacifique. Dans cette rare photographie on distingue nettement la capsule spatiale dont la petite taille apparaît nettement au regard de celles des hommes présents dans cette composition photographique exceptionnelle.
