François - Honoré - Georges Jacob Desmalter, son of Georges Jacob I, was one of the most important ébénistes and menuisiers of the French Empire. He supplied pieces for the Châteaux de Malmaison, Compiègne, Saint-Cloud and Fontainebleau as well as for other foreign residences as the Palaces of Windsor, Potsdam and St. Petersburg.
He worked in partnership with his father Georges Jacob I and with his brother Georges Jacob II.
