An important painting by Giovanni Francesco Guerrieri (1589-1655), Lot and His Daughters, sold for €475,064 at Dorotheum on June 8, setting a new world record for a work by the Italian painter. The previous record, set at €410,550 under the hammer of Porro & Cie, dates back to 15 November 2003 (Artnet). 

The bust, a unique bronze cast showing "great mastery of technique", realistically captures the features of Paul Phélypeaux, Lord of Pontchartrain. Attributed to Francesco Bordoni, disciple of Giambologna, it will be presented on November 20 by De Baecque with an estimate of €500,000/800,000.
