Anish Kapoor (Né en 1954)

Until November 30, the British artist is exhibiting works at Commanderie de Peyrassol vineyard, in the heart of Provence. The vineyard's sculpture park boasts a permanent collection including works by Daniel Buren, Antony Caro, Bernar Venet, Jean Dubuffet, Dan Graham, Niki de Saint Phalle among many others. 

Dubai’s most famous hotel, the Bury Al Arab Jumeirah – a sail-shaped hotel located on a man-made island - is holding an exhibition in a new temporary onsite space. The inaugural show is dedicated to British-Indian artist Anish Kapoor and will run for six months.

The city’s mayor has applauded the "unique project that is part of the city's cultural revival plan." The rebuilt 18th-century palazzo, soon to be restored, will host Anish Kapoor's studio and a display of his work. The foundation also hopes to collaborate with Venetian cultural venues.

The World Wildlife Fund online campaign "Art For Your World", which is raising funds to fight climate change, includes contemporary artists Tracey Emin, Anish Kapoor and Jadé Fadojutimi. The project, led by London-based Artwise Curators for WWF-UK, will sell artworks in an online auction in October. (ARTnews)

Due to open in 2024, the foundation established by Anish Kapoor will move into the Palazzo Priuli Manfrin (18th century), currently under restoration. The place, which will serve as both a studio and exhibition space, is already displaying a selection of works by the Anglo-Indian artist, open until October 9th.

Several prominent figures, including Anish Kapoor and Mick Jagger, have sent an open letter to the Italian authorities to protest the return of cruise ships to the Lagoon. The municipality had however decided on a new, less intrusive itinerary for the liners.

The World Wild Fund (WWF) has announced a collaboration with significant artists that aims to support wild tigers. The project, named Tomorrow’s Tigers 2022, includes artists such as Kiki Smith, Anish Kapoor and Ai Weiwei. Ai’s one-of-a-kind square rug depicts an ambiguously positioned tiger. (Ocula)

An open letter, written by the head of the Creative Industry Federation, and signed by more than 400 art world figures (including artists Anish Kapoor or Grayson Perry), calls on the UK government "to implement urgent funding for creative and cultural organisations", before the country becomes a “cultural wasteland”.

Bannet is the new director of Paris’ Manifesto Studio, which brings together the consulting and production activities of the cultural agency Manifesto. Contributing to Anish Kapoor’s “Monumenta” at the Grand Palais, and head of the Lyon branch since 2020, Bannet currently directs the Eiffel Tower’s cultural program.

Launched yesterday by Anthony Gormley, the Great Big Art Exhibition calls on UK residents to express themselves creatively during the current lockdown, making and publicly displaying artwork based on themes chosen by famous names. Figures backing the project, set to run until April, include Anish Kapoor and Ai Weiwei.
