Maurer’s innovative designs earned him a lasting legacy; his 1966 Bulb table lamp is still produced to this day, and the workshop he opened in 1960 is now the international company Ingo Maurer GmbH. He was the subject of a 1989 solo exhibition at the Fondation Cartier in Paris, and many of his works reside in the MoMA.
