Théophile Alexandre Steinlen (1859-1923), original drawing for Contre les chiens by Alphonse Allais (1854-1905), published in Gil Blas illustré no. 27 of 2 July 1897, wax crayon, highlights in Indian ink and coloured pencil, 27.8 x 22.9 cm. From a collection of drawings in two in-folio volumes, sea green half-morocco binding, smooth spines embellished with the artist's monogram with a brown morocco mosaic design by Marius-Michel (1846-1925). Result: €446,550
