Tibet, Kangxi period (1661-1722). Gilt bronze statuette of Buddha seated in bhumisparsa mudra, relief inscription of the Buddha's mantra and a second incised inscription on the back: "March 18 of the 24th year of Kangxi" (1685), h. 20 cm/7.9 in, 2,839 g/100 oz.
