What inspired you to become an art dealer?
I really believe in the intellectual exercise that art can provide, for anyone, anywhere ; and most importantly, it doesn't require a huge amount of resources, just be curious.

If you could do it all over again, what would you do?
Honestly, I feel comfortable with the decisions we've made so far…

An artist or work that has caught your eye recently?
I just read Yves Klein by Himself : His Life and Thought? by Klaus Ottmann. It is incredibly inspiring.

Is there a dream artist or work of art you would like to exhibit in your gallery?
I have some heroes in the art world. I really appreciate the production of the artists Franz Erhard Walther, Flávio de Carvalho, Carol Rama, among many others. And in my profound dream, I would love to show an exhibition curated by Walter Zanini, one of the most eminent curators in Brazil—he was a leading supporter of artists in the development of the art scene and conceptual artistic production during the dictatorship in Brazil—and of course Seth Siegelaub (Ed. an American-born art dealer) one of my most important references.

Do you have a mantra?
Believe.

What projects or upcoming events are on the horizon?
We are looking forward to extending our rigorous, research-led program in the new Brussels venue, with the aim of deepening contemporary understanding of multidisciplinary Brazilian practices among European audiences. The gallery program will draw connections between our artists and movements such as Brazilian cinema novo and Brazilian dance, fashion and music, connecting these practices with European art movements and practices.
