Rattan comes from various species of palm trees in Southeast Asia, especially the Philippines and Indonesia. Its sturdy vines can be twisted without breaking. In the 1950s and 1960s, it brightened up country houses. Today, rattan adds a more chic retro touch to city interiors in need of a breath of fresh air.…
