On Thursday flags in Argentina waved at half-staff in remembrance of the beloved artist Joaquín Salvador Lavado who used the pen name “Quino”. In the 1960s he began writing the Mafalda comics, which were translated into 27 languages gaining him an international following. (Reuters)
