No need for the younger generation to be shown in a major museum to prove themselves: they can simply get a quick endorsement from the secondary market.

Artprice has taken a close look at three artists born in the 1990s who achieved new personal bests this fall. On October 14, Sotheby's London presented Kye, Semper Solus (2017) by the American painter Julien Nguyen (b. 1990): estimated at £40,000/60,000, the painting finally went for £453,600. Meanwhile, Indian artist Raghav Babbar (b. 1994) saw his painting Surinder (2020) soar to £403,200 on October 13 with Phillips London: 20 times its starting price. And Big Black Rainbow (2019), a painting by American Vaughn Spann (b. 1992) bought for $239,400 in December 2020 at Phillips New York, was resold for $242,000 (HK$1.89 M) 20 months later with Sotheby's Hong Kong, in October.
