Cards, dice, hopscotch, backgammon and trictrac are some of the games played on the selected tables.

€185,500
Table for multiple games and trictrac by Brice Péridiez or his son-in-law Guillaume Kemp, Transition period, inlaid wood veneer, unsigned, 8 x 82 x 60.5 cm. Paris, Drouot, 5 April 2011, Gros & Delettrez auction house.

The type of table generally varies depending on the game, the board being adapted to them. There are many variations in shapes, patterns and accessories and several pieces of furniture push the vice to the point of multiplying their tops, some offering a double side. Entertainment is equal to these possibilities, as is the price at auctions, which can exceed the six-figure mark provided the quality of workmanship and refinement of the ornaments are present. However, most gaming tables are available from a few hundred euros. The trictrac models are essential and bear witness to the passion that took hold of the Ancien Régime. In the 18th century, gambling was popular in every class of society.

PRICES SHOWN INCLUDE FEES.
