GAUGUIN Paul (1848 - 1903) L.A.S. "Gauguin," [Rouen ca. mid-August 1884], to Camille PISSARRO; 2 pages in-8 in purple ink. Gauguin to Pissarro. He worries that he has heard nothing from his friend, and fears that he is angry with him; but he may not have received his letter of a fortnight ago "with 2 photographs of my children"... He received a visit from Paul LAFOND, "a friend of DEGAS's who comes to Rouen quite often; he's been looking for me for two months"... As for Eugène MURER, "he's been in Paris for quite some time; I don't think his hotel business is going very well. I read a judgment in the paper condemning him to bankruptcy for this affair.
