DUFY Raoul (1877 - 1953) L.A.S. "Raoul Dufy", Vence February 20 [1921], to gallery owner
Berthe WEILL; 2 pages in-8, one envelope enclosed from 1907.
About the hundredth exhibition organized by Galerie Weill.
He hopes she was able to manage and that her brother was able to give her "one of my paintings for your hundredth. I couldn't send you anything from here, as I hadn't finished anything yet, but I send you my compliments on this memorable occasion anyway".
He asks her for the address of Malpel [Charles MALPEL (1874 - 1926), lawyer, vituculteur and collector] in Montauban to "ask him to lend me 2 paintings for an exhibition", unless she could ask him "if he would like to lend me the bath and the little pavoised street"... He adds: "You know I'm always the man of the last hour".
