We are very sorry not to be able to accept your invitation for Thursday, an engagement will deprive us of the pleasure of going there and spending some good moments with you, Madame, which we are far from forgetting; my wife and daughter had also presented themselves at your home yesterday in the hope of meeting you there and offering you their homage [...] . Enclosed is an autograph bill in-12 from Louis Aubert.
