Small Montmorency" infantry officer's saber
Long-tailed cap surmounted by an empanelled helmet. Handle entirely copper filigree. Single-branch guard with oval medallion shell surrounded by trophies of arms and a rooster holding a snake in its paws. Curved blade with flat back, counter-edge and engraved gutter signed "Fouchet Saint-Honge le Jeune arquebusier et fourbisseur au Petit Fusil, rue royale d'Orléans", engraved on both sides "Volontaires Patriotes".
