Félix BRACQUEMOND (Paris, 1833 - Sèvres, 1914)
A meteorite passing over Paris on February 10, 1875
Watercolor and gouache over pencil, pen and brown ink, on blue paper
My Dear Silbermann - I'm sending you a sketch of what
I saw yesterday evening at a quarter to 6 I was on
the road from Versailles to Sèvres, which will show you
the direction in which the phenomenon occurred - just in the axis
of the road - the lower sketch shows what had become of the
the light trail ten minutes later -
I haven't forgotten my promise, but I still haven't been able
to go and see you
my respects to mademoiselle Silbermann
to you
