Hélène d'Oettigen (1885-1950)

The Villa Noailles is dedicating a historical exhibition to this pioneer of textile design between the wars. A look back at some unique and unjustly forgotten pieces.

A winner of the Rubis Mécénat Prize, in partnership with the National School of Fine Arts, artist Hélène Janicot (born in 1999) engages with Saint-Eustache in Paris, from October 11 to December 18. The 5th year student presents a project in three stations that dialogues with the late Gothic architecture.

Once the finalist is chosen the weaving of the tapestry will begin in June 2022.

Since the 18th-century, Sévres has been a place of creation for artists. Today, the wood-fired kiln will be heated up, ready to welcome Hélène Delprat, Annette Messager and Ulla Brandenburg. After 33 hours of firing at 1300 degrees, plus a month of cooling, their creations will be ready to see.
