Jacques Testard started the small publishing company known as Fitzcarraldo Editions in 2014. Eight years later, it is one of the most talked about publishing houses in all of Britain: it has produced not one but three Nobel laureates, including Annie Ernaux, Olga Tokarczuk and Svetlana Alexievich.
