The unpublished novel - one of the 2 known proof sets - joins the Centre Pompidou for €5,308. Its title, La Couronne de Pines (Crown of Penises), leaves little doubt as to its homoerotic content - an edition that was entirely destroyed during a Customs seizure. Alibert was a close friend of French author André Gide.
