This painting from the collection of the owners of the famous Baudy Hotel in Giverny evokes the artistic energy that reigned supreme in the little town in Normandy at the turn of the 20th century.

The painting has not moved since its creation. Painted in the winter of 1900 on the banks of the Seine in Vernon, it has remained to this day in the collection of the Baudy family, owners of the Baudy Hotel in Giverny. In those days, artists frequently thanked hosts for their services by giving them paintings, which were promptly hung on the walls.
