Toby Treves’ study Lucian Freud: Catalogue Raisonné of the Prints will include a number of rejected or reworked etchings, published for the first time. Many of them were trial proofs, now at the Victoria and Albert Museum, which belonged to the late printmaker Marc Balakjian, who worked closely with Freud. (Guardian)
