Jacques Majorelle discovered the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco during the summer of 1921 when he explored the Ounila Valley in the Glaoui region and Anemiter in particular. The town became one of his favorite spots, and he stayed there regularly, as witnessed by this 1950 painting, which has remained in the Coquelin family for three generations.…
