German Government Advisory Panel Urges Restitution of Schiele Work to Jewish Dentist's Heirs

The advisory panel on Nazi-looted artwork unanimously agreed a 1917 Egon Schiele work was most likely sold under duress by Jewish-Viennese dentist and collector Heinrich Rieger, who was later murdered at Theresienstadt. The panel called on Cologne, where the work is currently held at the Ludwig Museum, to return it.
