Climate Activists Glue Themselves to Goya Painting

Published on , by La Gazette Drouot

Protestors from the Spanish environmental activist group, Futuro Vegetal, targeted Francisco Goya’s The Clothed Maja (c. 1800). They scrawled “1.5 C” on the wall next to the painting in the Prado Museum. The obscure number is a reference to a UN report reaffirming the precariousness of the climate situation. (ArtNews)
