The collector and philanthropist, son of the founder of the Museu de Arte de São Paulo Assis Chateaubriand, has sadly died in São Paulo. A board member at MoMA and the Fondation Cartier, he amassed a collection of 8,000 works, 6,500 of which are on loan to the Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro.
