In 1821, British industrialist Thomas Edme Hulm, (also known as Hall), founded the Faïencerie de Gien, which set the ultimate standard in glazed earthenware during the second half of the 19 th century. The company was in receivership when Yves de Talhouët took it over in 2014, rescuing nearly two centuries of accumulated savoir-faire.…
