Perfection has little to do with quantity. There were only 45 lots in this sale, but the results included a million-plus bid for this Kashmir sapphire and five six-figure results. With €2,037,616, the blue gem from the snow-capped Himalayas became the most expensive stone of the year sold at Drouot and notched up third place in all categories,…
