Sold under the hammer of Tessier Sarrou on Friday at Drouot, the Portrait of Charles Ferdinand Théodore de Vassinhac d'Imécourt, who died in the prime of life during the siege of Dantzig, quintupled its high estimate. The portrait had remained with the descendants of Ferdinand Imécourt's older brother until now.
